Saudi Water Partnerships Company (SWPC) names its bidder for the Jubail 3B Independent Water Plant (IWP) project.

A consortium of France’s Engie and local firms Nesma and Alajlan has been selected as the preferred bidder for the 570,000 cubic meters a day (cm/d) Jubail 3B independent water produce project in Sudi Arabia, The Saudi Water Partnership company had announced earlier that Nesma and Alajianhad submitted “a tariff of 1.59149 Saudi riyals/m3, equivalent to $0.41/m3, for the

reverse osmosis (RO)-based desalination project”.

The Jubail 3B project had 2 bidding consortiums other than Engie, Nesma, and Alajlan. The consortium of Aqualia (Spain), HAACO (local), and Alfanar (local) were selected as the

‘Reserve bidder’, with SR1.65/cm as the Levelized cost of water tariff. The Jubail 3B project will supply potable water, including storage tanks and in-house solar capacity decreasing the

consumption of power from the kingdom’s grid to Riyadh and Qassim.

Saudi Water Partnership Company’s IWP project is set to launch in 2023, with India’s synergy Consulting appointed as the leading financial adviser for Jubail 3A and B projects.
