Gear up for TC Sessions: SaaS virtual event on October 27!

TechCrunch Sessions: SaaS 2021 is going to be a one-day virtual event that will examine the state of SaaS to help developers, investors, and startup founders understand the state of play and what’s next.

Software-as-a-service (SaaS) is presently the default business model for almost all B2B and B2C software startups. It has been here for a while now, with its momentum accelerating and the ecosystem continuing to expand as technologists and marketers are gaining more spectrum on how to build and sell SaaS products. At this 100% virtual event, be the one to hear from CEOs who have scaled multi-million-dollar companies, meet the investors cutting the checks, and uncover the next generation of SaaS startups boldly touching heights, that no one could do before.

What’s on offer

The single-day event will be held virtually on October 27 and will feature actionable advice, a Q&A session with some of SaaS’s biggest names, and plenty of networking opportunities.

  • Scaling SaaS: Get insights from founders who grew their companies from idea to unicorn status.
  • Building SaaS: From UI/UX considerations and integrations to hiring the right sales team, a lot has to be put in to create saleable SaaS applications. Get use-cases and advice from ‘been there, done that people. TechCrunch plans to throw the spotlight on what’s happening with B2B startups and you’ll be given actionable insights into how to create and/or improve your own product. If you’re just getting started, feel free to come up with new ideas on how to start your company and if you’re already on your way, sessions on scaling both technology and market organization are bound to work for you as those will help you to get to that $100 million annual run rate faster.

But SaaS is not only about managing growth, though ideally, founders will also face this problem sooner or later. Other specific topics to be brought out in the event are-

  • Keeping SaaS safe: Get advice from experienced CISOs on how to use open source to your advantage and how to keep your services safe in an ever-growing threat environment.
  • Fundraising for SaaS: Hear from some of the top VCs in the industry about what they look for when investing in SaaS products and how to smartly secure funding for your company.

TC will also highlight how B2B and B2C companies can manage the plethora of data they now produce and use it to set up machine learning models in the process. This will be followed by an elaborate talk on how SaaS startups can do so both for themselves as well as for others in the process. There’s not a startup that is reluctant to use some form of AI these days, after all.

And because this is 2021, there will also be discussions on building remote companies and the lessons SaaS companies can learn from the last year of entirely working through the pandemic.
