From managing sales, transactions, customer relationships and employee plans, it’s all a piece of business. Foodics, a Dubai based company provides it all. Here’s a tour of the company and their storyline:

About the company:

Foodics, a Dubai based company handles the management part of the restaurants making it much easier for the managers to work it out. It was founded by Ahmad Al-Zaini and Musab Alothmani in the year 2014. The company has more than 10,000 customers and has processed over a billion orders, with five offices across Saudi Arabia, the U.A.E., and Egypt. The total funding amount of the company is around $28 million. “The company raised $2.2 million in funding in 2020 from venture capital firms Derayah and Elm.” According to The CEO said that the company will be closing its Series B round. The company ranks 36th in “The Middle East’s 50 Most-Funded Startups”, a list by Forbes. The investors of the company are: Al Riyadh Investment, Naseel Holding, Raed Advanced Investments, Derayah, Elm, Taqnia and 500 startups.

Foodics has more than 7000 happy customers. The app partners with the companies and restaurants located in the middle east. Not just that, it has received more than 1 billion orders and over 5 million transaction every minute. Foodics has left its mark too soon and too deep. It has hardened the competition and clearly giving the other businesses a tough time to survive. Foodics has grown and now serves to restaurants at: Saudi Arabia, Philippines, Turkey, Hong Kong, Morocco, and Sudan.

The originators:

Two founding members established the company foodics in the year 2014. It’s been a long way up since then. Ahmad Al-Zaini and Musab Alothmani are the faces behind the company’s huge success story.

Ahmad Al-Zaini

Ahmad started off his career with a startup called as: Alwans, in February 2010. The startup used to develop apps and give out investment opportunities to other startups. Al-Zaini got qualified in Electrical engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals in Saudi Arabia in the year 2012. He conjoined the executive program of entrepreneurship/entrepreneurial studies at Harvard Business school in 2019.

“Being a restaurant owner, you need to focus on your food quality and your speed of service. We enlighten them about the weaknesses of their business and the areas of focus to develop and expand.” Ahmad Al-Zaini said.

Musab Alothmani 

Musab Alothmani is the second founder of the company: Foodics. He was graduated in the year 2011 with a degree in Bachelor of Science from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals. Later on, he went forward and did his major in Computer Engineering. He was also the co-founder and the board member of the company: Alwan. Musab is currently the co-founder of Foodics, Alwan and a member of High Impacter Entrepreneurs.

The timeline of the company:

The company: Foodics was started by two passionate businessmen, Ahmad Al-Zaini and Musab Alothmani in the year 2014. With the urge to do something different, they started up their business in Khobar, Saudi Arabia. The concept was new to everyone. With growing days and people knowing more about their business, they expanded their business by hiring more employees. By the year 2016, Foodics had around 10 employees and 34 clients. The company was going big.

Later, in the year 2017 it started growing more. By that year, the company had 80+ employees and 2000+ clients. The ratio was crazy. The company has accomplished a lot in a lesser period of time. In the year 2018, the company was trying to go international and was setting up its fifth office.
